Joanna Irena Kot is Consular Assistant. Joanna is responsible for assisting the Consul and the Vice Consul in consular matters, including visa applications, passports, citizenship inquiries, and any emergency situation involving Swedish citizens in the San Diego area.

Joanna also manages cultural projects, institutional collaborations and public events – such as film screenings, concerts, exhibitions, performances, lectures and seminars – to showcase Swedish culture to the San Diego audiences and to facilitate exchange between Swedish and San Diego based cultural organizations.

Joanna holds a Degree of Master with a major in Law. Joanna started interning at the consulate on January 1, 2007 and started working on December 1, 2008. Joanna is Vice President of SWEA San Diego and she also assists San Diego Consular Corps with their events. Joanna is from Halmstad and has lived in San Diego since 2007.
