On June 24, Swedish Center hosts a Midsummer celebration at House of Sweden in Balboa Park. We will dress a Midsummer pole, sing songs and much more.

January 12 2012 SACC Business Mixer

Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego invites you to join their Monthly Business Mixer on January 12th! Speaker Paul Najar will discuss how the current economic turmoil in Europe offers US companies a unique market window to M&A and business expansion. November 19-20 , Swedish Film Festival
"Migration to and from Sweden"
Free admission including a catered reception and a panel discussion.

Swedish Center in collaboration with the Consulate of Sweden in San Diego invite all to their premier fall event. The two day festival will feature a fine selection of Swedish world renowned films on the theme of migration and cultural differences, supported by guest speakers. The event is sponsored by Swedish Council of America.

October 26, European American Business Mixer
It's time for the second European-American Business Mixer of the year, this time with a focus on Entrepreneurship in the Maritime sector. The event is co-hosted by the Swedish, Danish, French, German and the San Diego Regional Chambers of Commerce. This is one in a series of Business Mixers where the Chambers have joined forces to promote trade and best business practices between Europe and the United States.

October 23, Gränsen - Beyond the Border
Swedish Center will be showing the new Swedish movie "Gränsen" (Beyond the Border). The film received great reviews in Sweden and depicts the Swedish Norwegian border during nazi-occupation.

Free admission! Donations are appreciated. Swedish candy will be available for sale.

October 22, Children's Movie Screening
Swedish Center will be showing the children's movie "Hotell Gyllene Knorren". The movie has been very popular in Sweden and is appropriate for children of all ages.

Plot: A Swedish family buys a hotel and the adventures begin immediately when they move in. Swedish language, no subtitles.

Free admission! Donations are appreciated. Swedish candy will be available for sale.

September 25, Änglagård 3
Swedish Center will be showing the film "Änglagård - tredje gången gillt".
This is the third film from the famous series by Swedish director Colin Nutley.

Swedish language with English subtitles.

September 24, SACC Crayfish Party
The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego hosts their annual Crayfish Party on Saturday September 24th
from 5.00 PM -10.00 PM. Take the chance to experience a truly Swedish summer event.

On June 6, A celebration to the Swedish National Day will take place at House of Sweden in Balboa Park. The lawn program starts at 5:00 pm.

May 22, As It is in Heaven
On May 22, Swedish Center will be hosting a movie screening of the academy award nominee for best foreign film, As It is in Heaven. The movie has recived eleven nominations, which of it has won two. As It is in Heaven is directed by Kay Pollak and stars such as Michael Nyqvist and Frida Hallgren feature in the movie. It has been recognized as one of the best Swedish movies of all times.

The movie screening starts at 7:00 pm in Hall of Nations in Balboa Park.
April 30, Valborg Celebration

On April 30 at 4:00 pm, Swedish Center hosts a Valborg Celebration at Mission Point in Mission Bay. The day will start off with different traditional Swedish games followed by a barbecue. You can choose to bring your own food or to purchase at site. Around 6:30, we will light a bonfire and continue our celebration. Everybody is welcome.

April 20, Celia Linde at SDSU
Celia Linde belongs to the elite of international guitarists. She has through her career toured the world and performed in major concert halls in New York, Washington, London among others. Now she will perform her guitar magic in a captivating performance here in San Diego!
April 17, The Karlsson Brothers
On April 17, Swedish Center will screen the comedy The Karlsson Brothers from 2010. The movie is written by Ulf Kvensler and directed by Kjell Sundvall. The movie has recieved great reviews and is one of the top comedies of the year.
April 9, Children´s Movie Screening

On April 9, Swedish Center will be screening the Swedish children´s movie, Pettson & Findus, Glömligheter.
